Environmental sustainability is an important part of our business model, and something that we take very seriously. At RG, all of our infrastructure, planning, strategies, trading and manufacturing practices, as well as our operational processes and policies integrate our focus on preserving the quality of our environment.

We incorporate day to day practices that focus on preserving clean air and water, protecting the climate, and preserving the world's forests and biodiversity. Below are some examples of how we implement sustainability as a business today.

Environmental Sustainability Practices

As we’ve grown from one location to five, our commitment to sustainability has grown with us. While each of our spaces is unique, we prioritize environmentally responsible practices wherever possible.

Select locations are powered primarily by on-site solar energy, significantly reducing reliance on traditional power sources. Across our stores and offices, we have invested in high-efficiency LED lighting, reducing energy consumption by up to 80% compared to conventional systems.

Our in-store jewelry displays, cash wraps, and counters are crafted using PEFC-certified wood, supporting responsible forest management and thoughtful material sourcing.

We continue to upgrade HVAC systems to high-efficiency models with advanced thermostat controls, ensuring energy-conscious climate management whether our stores are open or closed.

Company-wide, we maintain a comprehensive recycling program that includes paper, cardboard, plastics, cans, and bottles, and we return printer cartridges and electronics for responsible remanufacturing whenever possible.

Sustainability is not limited to one store or one initiative. It is an ongoing effort embedded in how we design, build, and operate each location as we continue to grow.

Trade and Manufacturing Processes

We are committed to working exclusively with precious materials — including 14k and 18k solid gold, 14k gold-filled, and .925 sterling silver. By choosing enduring metals over plated or costume alternatives, we create jewelry designed to be worn for years, not discarded after a season. Quality materials ensure longevity, reducing unnecessary waste and keeping disposable fashion out of landfills.

All precious metal scrap generated in our production process is collected, refined, and recycled for future manufacturing. One of the inherent benefits of working with solid precious metals is their permanence — they can be melted down and repurposed without losing integrity. Nothing of value goes to waste.

A majority of our gold and silver pieces are cast and finished locally in Los Angeles, supporting skilled artisans within our own community. Our 14k gold-filled designs are produced either in-house or in partnership with small, family-owned manufacturers throughout the United States. We maintain close relationships with each of our production partners, prioritizing those who uphold fair labor practices, responsible manufacturing standards, and ethical workplace policies.

Equally important is the integrity of our supply chain. We work with partners who implement strict sourcing procedures and responsible trade policies to ensure minerals are procured with transparency and accountability.
