OUR STORY

At RG, we create simple yet timeless heirlooms, thoughtfully crafted for modern life. Each piece is designed to be worn every day and cherished for years to come, with an emphasis on quality, intention, and sustainability. Our work is rooted in a belief that jewelry should feel personal, enduring, and responsibly made.

RG was founded in 2014 by Rachel Karcich, who studied photography at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena and has always had a deep connection to the arts. With a trained eye for detail, form, and light, Rachel approached jewelry through the same creative lens she brought to photography. Noticing a lack of fair-priced, high-quality pieces that aligned with her values, she began designing and producing her own collection. She photographed each piece herself and introduced the line through local craft fairs and pop-ups, quickly building a community of like-minded customers who valued craftsmanship, transparency, and thoughtful design.

Rachel met her husband, Justin Karcich, in Los Angeles, where Justin was also immersed in the arts. With a creative background and an intuitive sense for space and design, Justin joined RG in 2017, officially making it a family-run business. Alongside supporting operations and growth, he became closely involved in jewelry design and shaping RG’s retail environments.

In 2020, Rachel and Justin opened RG’s first brick-and-mortar location in Atwater Village, Los Angeles. Despite the challenges of opening during the pandemic, the store reflected the strong community that had supported RG from the start and helped propel its expansion further south to San Clemente, Westfield UTC in La Jolla, Irvine Spectrum Center, and Carlsbad, California.

Each piece of jewelry we consciously create has its own identity — it tells its own story. Our collection takes inspiration from the old-world heritage while infusing it with timeless elegance.

RG’s entire business model is built on a commitment to sustainability. We use only the finest, ethically sourced alloys and actively work to minimize our environmental impact. All of our jewelry is also hand made here in the United States at our Los Angeles atelier and partner workshop in New England.

Working directly with manufacturers, we’re also able to secure the most fair pricing which we pass on directly to you. We firmly believe that by creating affordable timeless pieces out of quality materials we can help do our part to eliminate unnecessary waste that comes with fast fashion.
